My Take:

I really enjoyed reading through this book because my husband and I hope to run a business someday.  Traction gave great practical advice in six clear areas of focus: People, Vision, Data, Process, Traction and Issues.  Each of these important components is discussed in length and the reader is given real world application tips.  I really hate those abstract business books that give you cliche advice such as "visualize and actualize the growth of your business", "failure to plan is a plan for failure" or "be proactive, not reactive."  Yes, all those things are true, but I like solid practicalities.  This book has a ton of quizzes, checklists and company scorecards to give you a feel for the areas your business needs work  Also, many questions are asked of you as the business owner, to get you thinking and to get a clear vision of where you want your business to go, because if it isn't clear to you, it won't be clear to anyone else.  Another neat feature is the index in the back, so that you don't have to read the entire book over again looking for specifics you need to read about in the moment.  I loved this innovative book, the author is really putting his extensive experience to good use.  If you have a business, this book is a must read.  1, Pay Full Price.

Do you agree with my review?  Do you think I'm totally off base?  Either way I'd love to hear from you, be sure to leave a comment and tell me how you feel!
